YouTube Launches Life in a Day Channel

Life in a Day is described as an "historic global experiment to create a user-generated feature film documenting a single day on Earth," complete with the backing of executive producer Ridley Scott.
What that really means is that filmmaker Kevin Macdonald, best known for bringing you a bunch of films you probably haven't seen, is cutting together a feature-length reel of other people's webcams and home movies. It sounds way more exciting when you spin it their way.
Recently, YouTube launched a gallery of some of the submissions, giving viewers a taste of what the finished product might look like. Watch the teaser trailer below and then go browse the gallery for yourself.
