SXSW 2010: The Parking Lot Movie
One of the stranger offerings at this year's SXSW Film Festival is Meghan Eckman's The Parking Lot Movie. Much like the rather plain title suggests, it's a film about a parking lot and the attendants who work there.
It might sound like a goofy premise, but Eckman's film looks like a gentle examination of human nature in the vein of Errol Morris' earlier work.
The Wrap's John Lichman calls The Parking Lot Movie "the fest's most feel-good film", and NPR assures audiences that "[the film's] subject is far more interesting than its title."
