This sort of thing is too good for somebody to just make up. This is the real thing, folks. Apparently some advertising executive (or, you know, whoever produces commercials for Snuggies) thought the best way to sell ridiculous wearable blankets was to evoke a dance craze from the mid-Nineties? This collision between a real-life pre-Internet meme and a totally Diggable one may cause the pop culture universe to implode.
