It appears that Sarah Palin has a team of negative comment assassins in her army as this video from Gawker shows.

The video shows, in real time, how the total number of posts to her official Facebook page increase and then decrease.

Now, it is pretty safe to say that no one likes negative comments. And when you're a popular target like Palin, you'll get a lot of them. With social media driving a lot of good and bad messages these days, it's very easier for someone to type something negative and hit send or "comment" as it were. There are no repercussions, no one slapping you on the wrist, etc. People aren't afraid to speak their minds when it comes to engagement online. It used to be message boards that were the collector of heated debates and flaming comments, but today it's done in Facebook.

And as this video shows, it's just easier to delete comments on Facebook, even if they are coming in a high volume as they appear to be in this case.
