Robot Learns to Pair Socks… Incredibly Slowly

Scientists at UC Berkeley have programmed a robot to pair socks. Well, sort of. It's not about to sort your laundry for you, but if you've got one sock inside out, this little guy will flip it and pair it with it's mate… in about fifteen minutes. This video demonstrating the process last one minute and has been sped up fifteen times from the actual speed. So, yeah, robots aren't going to replace humans anytime soon. Phew, right? And let's not even mention what it looks like this robot's motions were really designed for. This is a family blog.
