SXSW may be over, but there's still plenty to talk about. The SXSW Film Audience Awards were announced today and NY Export: Opus Jazz took home the award in the Emerging Visions category.

Adapted from Jerome Robbins' choreography for his 1958 "ballet in sneakers" and brought to life by dancers from the New York City Ballet, this film looks oddly intriguing.

I've never been to the ballet and I don't know much about dance, but it looks like a kinetic and gorgeously photographed cinematic experience, and that's something I'd like to think I'm qualified to talk about. Based on the trailer alone, I am dying to check this one out.

If you (like me and most of the rest of the world) missed out on the world premiere of Opus Jazz at SXSW, you can catch it on PBS this Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. EST.
