Netflix has joined forces with horror legend and father of American independent cinema Roger Corman for a three-part webseries to launch on October 29. Splatter is scheduled to debut October 29 with additional episodes following November 6 and November 13. The creators claim that fans will be able to vote on the direction of the series, but how this will work remains to be seen.

The initial details on the project are scant but the brief teasers on the preview site promise either campy fun or total hackwork. For horror fans, Corman's entrance into the world of online video is pretty exciting, and with director Joe Dante (Gremlins, The Howling) at the helm and Corey Feldman in the lead role, this has the potential to be a pretty interesting collaboration. Let's hope for the best!

Anyone in America will be able to watch the series for free beginning October 29 and viewers with an unlimited Netflix plan can stream the episodes direct to any Netflix-enabled device. Once the show premieres, check back with Technorati for our reaction!
