While the Facebook privacy issues have died down slightly, they are still a major concern for most Facebook users.

Or are they?

Do you understand Facebook's privacy settings? Have you actually read the user agreement?

Check out this video which describes what Facebook is, in the context of what its real use is, i.e. making money, and how our privacy is at the mercy of the company's being in the black.

There's a great analogy in this video that talks about the word count in the privacy settings as opposed to the word count in the Declaration of Independence — you know, the document that governs the United States of America?

Well, the privacy agreement of Facebook is longer than the Declaration by over 1,000 words.

Yes, 1,000 words.

Regardless of what you think about Facebook, this video will put all the privacy settings issues into plain English and in a Mr. Rogers sort of way.
