Most Earth-like Planet Found
Scientists announced today that they may have discovered the first planet other than our own capable of supporting life. The planet, known as Gliese 581g, has been called a "Goldilocks planet" by co-discoverer R. Paul Butler of the Carnegie Institution of Washington, meaning (if you remember your fairy tales) it's not too cold, not too hot, but just right. Professor Steven Vogt at UC Santa Cruz has called it "a very compelling case for a potentially habitable planet."
