Improv Everywhere's "Black Tie Beach"
Improv Everywhere's latest mission brought a few hundred people to Coney Island and Brighton Beach dressed entirely in black tie formal attire. The flash mob "covered a mile-long stretch of beach with a diverse group of people of all ages (from babies to sixty-somethings) laying out, playing games, and swimming in the ocean." And for the clothing-conscious among you, you may be happy to know the tuxedos and gowns were all purchased secondhand at thrift stores for the occasion.
