First Trailer for Coen Brothers' True Grit
Remaking a classic film always proves divisive. In this case, the Coen Brothers chose to tackle True Grit, a John Wayne film vehicle released in 1969. While there may be still be some skeptics in the audience, this first trailer, featuring some exciting glimpses of Roger Deakins' stunning cinematography, should serve to alleviate some of the potential concerns. Granted, it's little more than a teaser, but it's enough to get me chomping at the bit for more. This has the potential to be another existential American masterpiece along the lines of No Country for Old Men.
