The 'Credit Crunch' means that there are a lot of great people out there looking for work. If this affects you, it can be difficult to know how to make your résumé really stand out, and compete with everyone else's résumé. If your career is based on Microsoft products, then it is worthwhile to put yourself through the certification process.

If you are taking courses, then why not ask your Microsoft Certified Trainer for discount vouchers? Via the MCT Rewards Program, MCTs can request discount vouchers for their delegates.  When training dollars are short and trainers are available, why not give it a try?

If you are studying by yourself, 'credit crunch' style, then why not look at Microsoft's free online training? They have Learning Snacks and e-Learning modules, which are available online for you to use. If you are ready to sit the exam, then it's worth checking out whether your preferred exam is available as part of Microsoft's current promotion. Certain exams are offered at a discount rate between 15% - 25% with the caveat that the exam must be scheduled prior to 31st December 2009.

Once you've passed your exam, you can get a Microsoft logo to put at the top of your résumé which is specific to your new accreditation. Now that will really help your résumé to stand out!
