Celsius has produced watches for a long time. They have a long tradition behind them, especially with mechanics and micromechanics.

The Celsius X VI II Remontage PapCelsius X VI II Remontage Papillonillon is their way to give the world a masterpiece that will eventually change the way we understand technology. It's a very expensive mcromechanical masterpiece, as the starting price  would be around $275.000 (approximately 200.000 Euros).

Why is this gadget so special ? Well, it's a mobile phone. No, wait, it is a mechanical watch. No, in the end it is much more like a mechanical watch built inside a mobile phone case, and you never need to charge your phone.

The system is highly complex in practice, but simple in concept : every time you open and close the phone, it uses all 547 of its gears to charge itself. So this would be the very first fully mechanical mobile phone, in the real meaning of the word.

The primary downside is that the phone would definitely lack some of the digital features usually expected of a smartphone. Besides that, the price is ridiculously high for most people. Though surely it isn’t a problem for somebody that drives a Viper or a Bugatti Veyron.

I wonder what happens if, let’s say, I am from Romania and I buy this mobile phone and it breaks down. What do I do then? Is there a support scheme already available? How long would it take to send it off, get it repaired, and have it back in my hands? After all, at that price, support should be very efficient and fast, don’t you agree?
