iCache GeodeNo credit cards. No bulging wallet. No aching back. No identity fraud. There are some things money can’t buy. For everything else there’s iCache. That’s how CTIA voters ranked the iCache Geode which won two 1st place E-tech awards for Mobile Consumer Electronics Accessories and the Mobile Commerce, Shopping and Rewards categories. This highly rated iPhone “accessory” stores credit cards, loyalty cards, gift cards and membership cards in a biometrically secure case. Goodbye wallet. Hello iCache.

I spoke with Erik Ross, Chief Strategy Officer, and JoAnn Stadmueller, Director of Marketing and Social Media, who made a drive-through visit in New Orleans spanning less than 20 hours. Despite the short stay and fast-paced schedule, they gave a convincing demo showing how easy it is to use the Geode. After sliding his index finger over the biometric sensor, Erik enabled the iPhone to activate the iCache application. After a few steps, he removed a reusable, secure GeoCard from the uniquely designed smartphone case that served as his mobile credit card. He then had twenty seconds to use the encrypted GeoCard as a cloned copy of his credit card at any POS (Point Of Sale). The secure credit card information is stored on the GeoCard for no more than twenty seconds before it is inactivated and returned to the case. Click here to watch a video about how it works.

This innovation is a game-changing solution for consumers because they can use this m-payment solution anywhere, anytime. Otherwise, it may take about five years before NFC(Near Field Communication) smartphones and merchant terminals are in enough locations to achieve 50% penetration. It took nearly five years after the iPhone launch for smartphones to have the majority share of all mobile phones used in the US. The iCache Geode bridges the gap between the present and the future while making people’s lives simpler, safer and secure. Even if the product is lost, there is no need to replace credit cards because only one user can activate the device by using the fingerprint detector. And the iCache team will happily overnight a replacement device after you authenticate yourself and the incident.
