3 Reasons I Like Google Instant
A few days ago, Google introduced a new search feature called Instant. I've read 5 reviews and they are all incredibly negative. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with it.
Before you rip me to shreds allow me to explain.
1 - Instant Provides Suggestions
When you search on google you are now greeted with a predictive text box that provides suggestions as you type. You are free to ignore the suggestions and continue browsing without recourse.
2 - Instant Can Broaden Your Search Experience
The technology behind instant has already expanded my search experience. In a recent search for Asian food I typed "Atlanta Asian" and received "Atlanta Asian Grocery", "Atlanta Asian Food", and "Atlanta Asian Festival" as results. In one sitting my eyes were opened to 2 new avenues.
3 - Instant is Efficient
I've always been a fan of efficiency. Google Instant is predictive text for search. Predictive text is an efficiency tool. Did I mention I love efficiency?
All in all I'd say give Google Instant a chance before you rip it up. You may end up at an Asian Food Festival :-).
