Samsung Announces the Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint

Samsung has announced a version of the Samsung Galaxy S for Sprint called the Samsung Epic 4G.

The handset will be the only version of the Samsung Galaxy S that will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Samsung Galaxy S will also have a 1GHz Cortex A8 hummingbird applications processor, running Android 2.1 (soon upgraded to 2.2),a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5.0-camera with LED flash & HD video recording, a front facing VGA camera for video chat & Wi-Fi.

The Samsung Epic 4G will feature Samsung’s Social Hub, which will integrate social networking, messages, contacts, calendar information & work & personal email accounts. The Samsung Epic 4G will also have the mobile hotspot feature, which will allow the device to support up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices & use Sprints 4G network at the same time, and Samsung’s AllShare service, which will allow the device to wirelessly share pictures, & HD video to other Digital Living Network Alliance certified home electronics.
