Today, Google has made available an additional version of the  Nexus One (Google’s android phone) that is compatible with AT&T's 3G network in the United States and Rogers Wireless in Canada.

The phone is available unlocked for $529 directly from Google. There is no option of a discounted price with a service contract as is customary with other carriers. According to Google, an additional version of the Nexus One will be available soon for Verizon Wireless, and Vodafone’s web site has mentioned that they are planning an early spring launch for Nexus One compatibility, giving consumers even more service choices in the not-too-distant future. The Google Help Center is an excellent source for ascertaining current individual mobile service compatibility with the Nexus One phone.

If interested, Google’s Nexus One channel on YouTube has a series of films documenting the making of the Nexus One phone as well as a 3D tour. Additionally, a review of, and comments about, the Nexus One phone can be read at PCWorld.
