Well people, the wait is over (some of you have been waiting, right?). T-Mobile has made Motorola's latest Android-based phone available in stores and online, startiing today.

It's not the biggest or best, we're well aware, but the features are there for a solid Android starter phone, which is good news for those looking to get more kids hooked on the OS.

With a 3MP camera, landscape display, Motoblur and Backtrack, the basics are built in. Plus, with a form factor much like a BlackBerry's (and like the recently aborted Microsoft Kin), there may be quite a few new Android bandwagon jumpers-on.

The best news is this: it ships with Android 2.1, not the crappy 1.5 version that had been rumored. Pricing is $75 with contract and a paltry $270 cash money. It's availble in two non-black colors only "goden bronze" which sound mildly redundant to us, and "cabernet," which sounds mildly stupid.

Need more? Here's that video from TELUS that shows it in action.
