Facebook for Android Updated

Facebook's Android app hasn't exactly been best in breed in the past, particularly when compared to the app available for iPhone users. But that may change today: Facebook has released an updated version of their Android app, and they've actually listened to users and added features that move it a bit closer to the iPhone variant.

This new version now includes video playback, expanded support for events (view and RSVP from the app), the ability to respond to friend requests and an updated look. Additionally, tThe new homepage now has the ability to easily view friends' photos and videos, fast status updates, easy friend searches, and a draggable notifications drawer.

The newer, faster, stronger app is available immediately at the Android Market.
