Now we're getting somewhere. After months of iPads being the only viable choice in the tablet market, then the Samsung Tab pretty much carrying the banner for Android tablets all by itself, we've finally got some new and interesting products becoming available. Archos just announced the immediate availability of the Archos 70 Internet Tablet, and it's pretty impressive.

It ships running Android 2.2 on an ARM Cortex A8 chip that runs at 1 GHz. It's got 250 GB hard drive, a 7-inch TFT screen with 800 x 480 resolution that supports 720P video playback and Flash 10.1, has HDMI output, a built-in web cam, is equipped with WiFi (of course), supports tethering to a mobile phone, and weighs only 14 ounces. But it gets even better, because out of the bod it can dual-boot into Linux, Meego or Windows.

The price? Just $350. If this is an inkling of what we can expect at CES, it's going to be a pretty exciting week in Las Vegas.
