report

There are several definitions or meanings for the word report. A report can be a written document which describes the findings of an individual or a group. To report can be to give an account or representation of something in words, in essence, the act of informing by verbal report.

A report may be a short account of local news or business news or even to announce one's presence. It could be used to describe a sharp explosive sound, especially when referring to the sound of a gun. It could be used when referring to reporting someone, in other words, to make known to the authorities or to complain about or make a charge against something or someone.

You'll find bloggers "reporting" at sites like The Consumer Reports Blog and TMZ.com.
