Orlando is known the world over as a major family vacation destination based on it's dizzying array of theme parks, water parks, and attractions.  Before Walt Disney World was built in 1971, the Orange County Seat was a small town whose economy was based on orange groves.  Since then, several more theme parks have been built, Universal Studios and SeaWorld being among the largest with their own hotels, resorts, and water parks.

Orlando's sub-topical climate keep vacationers coming year round. On any given day, over 100,000 people are visiting this exciting city. It's also a very popular convention site. The Orange County Convention Center is one of the largest in the country, boasting over 2 million square feet of exibition space.

Located in central Florida, and only an hour and a half from the Atlantic Ocean, it is very convenient to take day trips from Orlando to the beach.  Nearby are Daytona Beach, Cocoa Beach and the Kennedy Space Center.  People can vacation here year after year and not do the same things twice.
