It’s not only a video game – it’s THE video game. Developed by Finnish company Rovio Mobile, Angry Birds quickly became a runaway hit, due to addictive game play and the low price of $0.99. The game is currently one of the top selling video games and mobile apps in history, as well as an all-time App Store bestseller. It was released on many platforms, including iphones, ipads, and android devices. Soon it will be available on Facebook.


In Angry Birds, players shoot various birds out of a slingshot, in order to destroy a structure sheltering the evil green pigs. Each bird has a unique ability, and in order to beat the level, player has to eliminate all the pigs. The idea is very similar to other physics-based shooting games like Crush the Castle.


Currently, players all over the world log in more than 1 million hours of Angry Birds playtime each day.
