Cheers & Jeers Week 8
Another week of the NFL in the books, and another time for the best & worst of the NFL for Week 8. Let's get into it.
Three Cheers!

3. David Garrard- The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback, who's as embattled as his head coach Jack del Rio, had probably his best game of the season, when he threw for 260 yards on 17-21 passing with four touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown to add. Now if Garrard can stay consistent with his performance, it might be enough to save del Rio's job.
2. Josh Freeman- For a second year player, Freeman has shown the poise of a veteran, and as a result, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are tied for first-place in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons. The pass to Aurelious Benn to set up LeGarrette Blount's go-ahead touchdown run was amazing. After starting 0-7 in 2009, Freeman is now 8-8 since taking over as the team's starting QB (3-6 for the rest of 2009, 5-2 in 2010).
1. The Missouri teams at home. Through four home games, the two teams in the state of Missouri, the Kansas City Chiefs & St. Louis Rams, are a combined 8-0 at their stadiums, Arrowhead Stadium & Edward Jones Dome, respectively. The Chiefs are currently in first place in the AFC West, and the Rams are a 1/2 game behind the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West. If they can get better on the road, both teams have a good chance of hosting a home game in January come playoff time.
Three Jeers!

3. Mike Shanahan- To bench Donovan McNabb when you're down six with two minutes left to play for.... wait for it... REX GROSSMAN!?!?! Then to say that Grossman is a better option for a two-minute drill, then Grossman fumbles on the first play of the drive that leads to Ndamukong Suh sealing the victory for the Detroit Lions, and THEN with Grossman to call out McNabb by saying "if he was playing better, he would be out there", the Washington Redskins coach has now created an ugly situation. So much for potential Super Bowl in the future talk, because McNabb could be out of Washington real soon.
