Boise State's Big Test

The Boise State Broncos' football team is the #3 team in the country, and well-deserving of it. After passing a big test by beating Virginia Tech (but not soundly), and then having that Virginia Tech win tainted with the Hokies' loss to James Madison, there is only one final major test for the Broncos, barring that Nevada and/or Fresno State get ranked late in the season, and that is the Oregon State Beavers.
Boise State needs to make a boisterous statement. Make it loud and clear that they are here to crash the party, and compete for a BCS Championship. They can not just do enough to win, they need to make this significant.
They may have a psychological advantage. Oregon State has painted their practice field blue in preparation to get used to the blue turf that is at Bronco Stadium in Boise. Extreme? Perhaps, but it is clear that Oregon State is aware and the mission of the psychological game is in the favor of Boise. Only Saturday night will tell if this was a good idea or not.
Games of the mind aside, it will be up to the Broncos to decide if they are contenders or not. They need to make an emphatic statement to the nation that they deserve a chance to live that BCS Championship dream. A loss, or even a close game will not be good enough, and those championship dreams will be just that.
A dream.
