Pedro All Done?
Pedro Martinez, once a dominate pitcher in both the National and America Leagues, apparently won't be grabbing the pill this year.
The former Cy Young Award winner says he has no plans to pitch this season despite offers the past two weeks from several teams, according to ESPN. Martinez says he turned the offers down but was flattered by the invitations, ESPN reported.
His last stop was in Philadelphia when he signed with the team in July 2009. Martinez went 5-1 with a 3.63 ERA in nine starts towards the end of the season and helped the Phillies reach the World Series.
The 38-year-old right-hander told The Associated Press on Thursday that he was "really happy" to get offers and calls them "very tempting." He has not disclosed which teams have asked him to come back nor have their been any confirmed reports.
As most professional athletes tend to do towards the end of their career, Martinez said he'll spend the rest of the year with his kids and going on vacations, ESPN reported.
What do you think? Is Pedro all done or is he coming back?
