Tracy McGrady Headed to the Motor City
The 2009-2010 season wasn't a memorable one for Tracy McGrady. The once promising shooting guard was one of the young, talented members of the league and showed tremendous promise.
However, a rash of injuries and bad teams kept him from ever getting to the hold grail of the NBA, and that's hoisting up the trophy as confetti rained down from the rafters.
McGrady is headed towards the end of his career and the contract he reportedly signed with his team is a reflection of that.
ESPN is reporting that McGrady has agreed to a one-year, $1.35 million contract with the Detroit Pistons, despite showing some interest in heading to play for the Bulls.
McGrady, who is a seven-time all-star, played in just 30 games last season for the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. He had major surgery on his right knee in the middle of the 2008-09 season.
