Lindsey Vonn Crashes in Giant Slalom, Injures Finger

It may be her worst event, but American Lindsey Vonn posted the fastest split times of any skier before crashing around a turn Wednesday.

Vonn will have the finger X-rayed before determining whether she can race in her final event, Friday's slalom.

She has won two medals so far — gold in the downhill and bronze in the super-G.

Vonn's fall also caused teammate Julia Mancuso to have to restart — something Mancuso was not happy about. Here's what Mancuso wrote on Twitter after the race:

that yellow flag in the GS was such... I just want to scream. I'm really miffed. Anyway, gotta take that energy and focus it for 2nd run.

Vonn said she felt bad her fall affected Mancuso's start. With weather conditions worsening, the course was getting slower the longer skiers had to wait, possibly affecting Mancuso's first run time.
