LeBron James Fueling Up for the Season

The line of people taking pot shots at LeBron James is pretty long. In fact, I've been in that line myself. Apparently, James is using all the chatter as fuel for the upcoming season, according to his new teammate Chris Bosh.

In an interview Wednesday on ESPN's "Mike & Mike in the Morning," Bosh said James is using criticism about his departure from Cleveland "as fuel to do well next season."

"We're always all aware of what we do and how critics can be out there sometimes," Bosh told ESPN. "[James] uses it to fuel his ambition to win next year. I think we're going to have a lot of doubters. But that's fine, you know, that's a part of the game. As long as we come together and play the game the way it's supposed to be played I think we're going to be successful."

Of course, these guys are professionals so they don't plan on dogging it all year. In fact, they want to win it all, otherwise they never would have made the efforts they have to build a team such as the 2010-11 version of the Miami Heat.

"We have to talk championship," Bosh told ESPN. "I expect to win a championship and anything else is a failure — and I think every person in that organization feels the same way."

The one vocal person who has jumped on the Heat bandwagon early was Jeff Van Gundy — former head coach and NBA analyst who said that Miami is the favorite to win it all.

In fact, Van Gundy also thinks that Miami will threaten NBA records, including the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' 72 wins and the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers' 33-game win streak.

Lots of people said the same thing about the Celtics last year and look how that turned out.

Regardless of motivational tactics, the Miami Heat will be ready to play for sure — so won't the rest of the NBA's elite teams? It'll be an interesting season for sure.
