Furyk, who was set to tee off with veterans Steve Stricker and Ernie Els, is not disqualified from the FedEx Cup but could fall as low as 19th, which would virtually end his chances of winning.  As per PGA Tour policy, players can not miss Pro-Am's unless an injury has occurred or due to family illness.

Furyk has won earlier this year at the Transitions Championship and has finished in the top 10 six other times.  He will be eligible to play in the next event, The Deutsche Bank Championship at the TPC Boston in Norton, MA.
