Fix Your Golf Swing (Part I)
I'm always looking for ways to improve my golf game and like most golfers, I'll try just about anything. Like most golfers, I don't have the time or money to invest in lessons or joining a club so I look for other options. Fortunately, I was contacted by PGA Director of Instruction in Wisconsin, Brant Kasbohm.
Fix Your Game
Brant recently started an online golf swing analysis website called fixyourgame.com. The idea behind this is players can sign up, submit their swing and Brant will analyze it. The cost is minimal compared to what lessons cost and it takes much less time. I took (actually I had AJ worked the camera) video of my swing one day at the range. See below:
The video last 3:13 and features my grip, a side view of my swing and a back view of swing. This allows Brant to see it from all angles and make an accurate analysis of my swing. Simply send it to him in an e-mail or use YouTube to post it and he can get it.
What Does it Cost?
This is obviously one of the first things I asked. The cost of an analysis at fixyourgame.com is reasonable. If you purchase one "lesson", it's $19.95. For two, it's $29.95, and a five pack is just $49.95. The lessons are transferable so they make a great gift for someone and they don't expire. If you have a larger group just ask Brant and he'll work something out with you.
Does it Work?
It's too early for me to tell but after seeing my analysis he points out a few things that are easy to correct and if I work on it, will help my golf game. The key is doing what he says and not watching the video once and expecting to get better.
