Antoine Walker Needs a Team to Take a Gamble on Him

Antoine Walker, the former all-star who made a name for himself for his shimmy-making moves for the Boston Celtics, is looking for a job.

Walker, who played in Puerto Rico for the Guaynabo Mets for $7,000 a month, wants another job and probably much more money because he's a degenerate gambler.

The former millionaire who nearly tasted an NBA championship and being one of the best players in the league, had a taste for other thrills that got him no where.

These thrills were of the gambling nature. His money-plight has been well documented and he's faced some serious life issues, including jail as a result.

What kills me about Walker's story is how quickly someone who was that rich, can hit the skids. It shows me that Walker had no one around him that was of a sound voice and honestly helped him manage his financial future.

If the stigma of rich athletes is true, Walker blew his wad, so to speak, by being a spoiled athlete who grew up with nothing and had the world at his finger tips.

It's sad, yet pathetic story of a once famed athlete trying to hold on the past that consists of tiny threads, which aren't strong enough to hold him.

Well, if the NBA re-entry thing doesn't work out, I hear that McDonald's is hiring. I bet his shimmy would sell a lot of shakes.
