The Facebook Roadblock

Just few days ago, the account of a good friend of mine who was a Facebook addict was removed by Facebook without any notice and he had to start an account all over again.

Just few days later, it also happened to me, but this time I was somewhat lucky — I got a Facebook roadblock message saying my account was accessed by a US IP address.

Blocking my Facebook account is a good thing if it was hacked, but the hard part came when I had to undergo a series of questions to reactivate my account. The first part was easy; all I had to do was enter a capachca text, then facebook gave me some random photos of my friends and asked me to recognize them. You might think this was easy - well it was much harder than it looked.

It’s not Facebook’s fault that its users don’t know how to use Facebook; most the time users are accustomed to sharing funny pictures and tagging their friends to get more attention to those photos. Therefore all I got was a bunch of funny pictures, and I had to tell which friends were on those photos.

HOW ON EARTH CAN I TELL WHICH PERSON WAS ON THAT PHOTO WHEN IT'S JUST A FUNNY PICTURE?

You have to get at least two of them right out of seven photos, I didn’t make it on the first time but finally made it on my second attempt.

This is what happens when people use something in a way it is not supposed to be used. Facebook photo tagging is there to tag people in those photos, not to upload any photo and tag all your friends to that photo to get more attention to those photos.

Next time when you are using Facebook, please use it wisely.
