Google Search App For iPad – Now With All New Features
Early this week, Google announced some new features for Google Search application for iPad.
As per Google’s blog, the new features are
- more interactive
- more visual
- helps you find what you are searching for more easily.
Improving search experience is Google’s prime aim and well done with iPad.
Let’s look at the new features:
Interactive: The search results start displaying as soon as you begin typing a search query. (even before you hit the search button). There is a new slide in pane that displays the webpage you select to visit. So, you get to view the webpage, move it to the right, and continue with your search browsing. You can even go back and forth between search results and web pages to find the information that you are looking for.
Visual: You can tap on an image result, use the carousel which makes the image shine, you can even swipe through the carousel to see other images, there is also a visual way to browse your image search history. You can swipe to the web pages you have already visited and scrolling is easy too.
Easy Searching: Once you select a result, there is a new tool that helps you look for exact details on the web page. The magnifying glass helps you to highlight the most relevant section of the page.
It is also now easier to find and use your favourite service like Google News, Calander, etc in the apps menu.
So, with this whole new set of features, searching, browsing and looking for information is truly made easy for iPad users. This application available on iTunes for free. Great news in the iPad search world. There are some great apps with great features coming your way.
