Get Up on the Technorati Soapbox and Be Heard

Being the executive editor of Technorati has its benefits.

Basically, I can write whatever I want, when I want and can post in whatever channel I feel like.

The one issue our writers have had with being part of the Technorati community is that they, at times, feel the site is too focused on news and analysis — leaving zero room for personal interjection or as the blogosphere calls it, rants.

Well, the Great Wall of China no longer stands. We took it down and in its place is a new feature called, "Soapbox Musings."

Yea, you guessed it. This is the place that you, our writing community (or those who wish to join our community) can post short items that are opinionated and more personal. The feature provides a forum to vent our spleens and otherwise; let 'er rip on a variety of topics.

Sometimes, as bloggers, we just need a place where we can climb up on a soapbox and tell the world what we think. In those moments where 100 or so words is all you need, consider this the place.

Happy venting.
