Delete a Friend Week on Facebook
We've all been there. You are friends with someone on Facebook who just rubs you the wrong way and you want to delete them from your friends list. However, you know that'll cause a bunch of drama, but you consider doing it anyways. You have no reason other than the fact that this person irks you, but have a hard time pulling the trigger.
Well, now there's a cause you can get behind to do just that. In fact, instead of just removing one person from your friend's list, try cutting out seven.
A growing number of people are joining up with the Facebook page called “Delete A Friend Week.” The page makes its case boldly asking others to join:
"This Fall, fall out of touch with 7 of your most annoying friends. Starting September 1st, join us in deleting 7 Facebook friends that drive you nuts. Maybe it's that they never comment or maybe it's because they write posts that are 19 paragraphs. Maybe they can't spell or you know they are just lurking and trying to find out stuff about you. Either way, they don't belong as your Facebook friend and it's time to delete them. Let us know what made you decide to delete them as well."
The page was launched by the San Diego, CA and Nashville, TN company Know Me Social Media Marketing and as of the other day, had over 1,000 followers.
“This is something people can truly embrace” Don Lowe, co-founder of KnowMeSoMe.com said. “Everyone can relate to this and even if they don’t, they definitely are intrigued by it."
What do you think? Are you a fan of the page and do you plan to dump seven friends on "Delete a Friend Week?"
