Facebook announced today that they improved photo browsing and sharing today, mostly due to the realization that their functionality sort of sucked.

Sharing large photo albums on Facebook can be frustrating. It's not easy to find the snapshots that really interest you when you have to browse page-by-page.
We decided to make navigating photo albums simpler, easier and more fun. Now, a photo album will automatically display additional photos as you scroll down a single page. You no longer need to click "Next" or try to guess which page number will reveal the best photos.

The company said the functionality is part of a larger strategy to improve overall photo browsing, uploading and tagging photos. Since the start of their efforts, they have increased the size of photos as well as added face detection to make it easier to tag photos on your home page and throughout the site.

The other notable change is that albums will showcase 200 photos per page versus 20.

What do you think about the new functionality?
