The blog focus for today goes to college, gets slick with an oil spill and is buzzing around people in the news.
U.S. News & World Report Rankings
The college rankings are out and surprise, surprise: Harvard, Princeton and Yale top the national list. In terms of the liberal arts programs, the top three were Williams College, Amherst College and Swarthmore College respectively.
The coverage runs the gamut, but one catch I found was over at Garrett Wheeler's Blog outlining the real juice behind the rankings.
Oil Spill Report Bogus?
So the report about the oil spill and the clean-up is out and scientists are saying, no freaking way is it right. The Daily Beast writes about how fisherman who have been hired by BP are finding tar balls, but are being asked to not report them.
Obama Mosque Issue Just Won't Go Away

Poor Dustin Johnson and his "bunker" shot is still trending online today. The guy made an honest mistake by grounding his club in a bunker that looked more like a sandy patch of grass. But, according to the rule book, he grounded in a trap and was penalized. The argument was that the rules were clear, but still, Johnston got screwed.
Technorati's Golf Writer Mike W. recaps the PGA Tour Championship, and of course, throws in a jab about the Johnson issue.
Robert Pattinson
So you Twilight freaks will love this last trending item, as it has to do with Robert Pattinson. Apparently, he's been playing house with his leading lady, Kristen Stewart, despite the two of them denying anything is going on.
People Magazine does a bang up job on the "story" and the ShowBizSpy writes a headline that's in all caps because apparently this is BIG NEWS (actually, it's just their style).
