Furthermore, conflict between Israel and Palestinians provides great impetus to Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism so peace between the two accompanied by the creation of a Palestinian state stands to do the reverse: weaken Islamic fundamentalism and the prospect of future terrorism. Needless to say, that coming up to 2012 and the next Presidential Election. Obama would love to be seen as the architect and father of a successful Israeli/Palestinian peace accord, especially as this would improve the economy and reduce the danger of terrorism.

So, we see with a quick analysis that the current peace talks in Washington have the potential to bring the participants much good, and the world as well, unless, of course, you happen to be an Islamic fundamentalist who wishes to see the destruction of Israel and The West and the Global establishment of Islamic rule.
