Rick Santorum Plays Voters for Fools

Rick Santorum knows that at least 15 to 20 percent of the population truly appreciates and supports his derogatory views towards African-Americans as well as his disdain for all things homosexual.
Iowa loved Rick Santorum and Rick Santorum loved Iowa, but as one of the top two contenders for the the Republican Presidential nomination he is now concerned with explaining some of his extreme views and past comments so that he does not lose momentum in the more socially liberal state of New Hampshire.
He has resorted to a common tactic used by some of the best politicians, lying.
Earlier this week he denied that he implied that welfare is the domain of "black" people by saying he did not say "black" people, he actually said "blah" people.
Now he says that he never grouped homosexuality with pedophilia and bestiality.
In 2003 he said the following during an interview with an AP reporter in which he was pressing Santorum on his views on homosexuality, "In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing. And when you destroy that you have a dramatic impact on the quality sexual behavior."
He is talking about the definition of marriage never including homosexuality. He then says he is not singling out homosexuality because it is also not "man or child" or "man on dog." He then says, referring to marriage, that it is only "one thing." His meaning and his intention were clear and obvious.
Wednesday night in an interview with CNN's John King he had this to say about the 2003 transcript, "Read the quote. I said it's not. It is not. I didn't say it is. I said it's not. You know, I don't; I'm trying to understand what you're trying to make the point. I said it's not those things. I didn't connect them. I specifically excluded them."
