President Obama Sings Al Green
While the Republican candidates were busy attacking each other and President Obama the mood was slightly different at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem.
The event was a fundraiser for the President and was attended by such notables as Al Green.
Perhaps Obama was trying to invoke the sentiment of Green's classic "Let's Stay Together" when he broke out into song.
"I....", he began as the crowd responded favorably which encouraged him to continue, "so in love with you."
The President had apparently told some in the back of the house that he was going to sing a little bit. It was unclear who he was addressing when he said, "those guys didn't think I would do it. I told you I was gonna do it."
This event capped a busy day for the President as this would be the 4th fundraising event he would attend.
While his approval rating may lag at times, his likeability rating is still strong and it is impromptu moments such as this which many people point to as one of his better qualities.
