Libertarian Candidate Runs On Platform Of Reusable Sports Logos
A fun story comes out of Oregon, courtesy of Yahoo!'s Puck Daddy, where tea party Senate contender Marc Delphine used a volunteer staff to create a website and logo. One of his helpers concocted a rather stunning patriotic insignia that featured an American flag wrapped around a star. And it looks like a "D" for Delphine. What an eye-popping graphic display!
Only one problem: it's nothing more a horizontal flip of the logo for the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets. That's going to be two minutes in the box for copying.
Delphine's website is now devoid of the stolen logo after it was pointed out to him by The Oregonian newspaper and some angry hockey fans. He's a longshot candidate; incumbent Senator Ron Wyden leads challenger Jim Huffman by almost 30 points, whereas Delphine is a distant third at 5 percent. If he's going to get back in this race, he not only needs to talk about the issues, but he really needs to get his own logo. Here's one they don't use anymore:

Look at him. He really makes quite a convincing patriot. (Of our country.)
