John Boehner's Fiery Anti-Reading Diatribe
In the 11th hour of health care debate, John Boehner was cold, tired, and perhaps a bit hungry. A little over an hour later, the House would pass the health care reconciliation bill 219-212 with zero Republicans and a all but a few Democrats voting in favor it it.
The time was then. The House minority leader was on his last legs:
This would be a wonderful speech to recite for any schoolkid when prompted by their teacher why they didn't finish their book review. Depending on the teacher's political affiliation, you may get either an A-plus or an F. (Hey, you were going to get a zero anyway; might as well roll the die with an impassioned speech.)
So, yeah. We have health care now. The implementation oughta be a fun story to follow. It has to be less irritating than the past week's coverage.
