Jeb Bush Has No Plans For the White House in 2012
Recently the GOP has been on the hunt for the perfect Presidential candidate for 2012. Someone who embodies the ideals and political fortitude to pull off a surprise win for the GOP. One of the names being tossed around lately is former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. However, Bush told reporters that he isn't running.
Since leaving office in 2007 he has focused mainly on striving for for education reforms, staying clear of the political venue only now resurfacing to raise money for the Republican side of the midterms.
Polls show he's still a popular figure in Florida politics, which could make a huge difference when the elections roll around. Not to mention this is politics, and just because one thing is said doesn't mean it's the truth. It's highly possible that Jeb will announce his bid for the Presidency at the eleventh hour.
Whether or not Bush thinks he'd be good for the job, the GOP certainly feels that he would. Mostly because of that every important minority vote, not to mention the Florida vote. Remember, Jeb speaks fluent Spanish, is married to a Mexican-American, the populace of Miami considers him an honorary Cuban-American.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, apparently suffering from brain damage, believes that Jeb isn't the only option. Pawlenty offers up Sarah Palin as a strong candidate. At this point, Bush and Palin are the most popular names being mentioned, for two completely different reasons.
Jeb has to get away from the whole Bush legacy, which at this point is like asking Bo Jackson to pick a sport. Good luck. If no one else steps up to take the GOP mantle going into the 2012 elections, that leaves Sarah Palin as a strong possibility. Maybe the Mayans were right, 2012 will be the end of the world.
