Abortionists Make Abortion Perception Even Worse
Oh you silly Abortionists you. Already treading in a kiddie pool of tainted water, those who practice legal abortion are under constant attack and scrutiny from pro-lifers as well as the religious folks. To be clear, I have no set opinions on abortion. To me, it depends on if the situation absolutely demands it. However, when I see stories like the ones I'm about to mention, well, I still don't change my mind.
Earlier this year there was a case in Philadelphia, now referred to as the "Shop of Horrors" case, where abortionist Kermit Gosnell botched an abortion, prompting an investigation. Upon investigation, it was found that his clinic was home to numerous aborted fetuses floating lifelessly in jars, some frozen for decades. This prompted outrage and madness, of course, along with protests. The thing was, Kermit deserved to get shut down. Apparently his clinic was a disgusting and an unsanitary health hazard, with blood on the floor and fetus parts lying around.
This is according to Troy Newman, the president of the pro-life group Operation Rescue. He may be a bit biased, but conditions in any clinic shouldn't have those kind of descriptors. However, Troy said that the misnomer that legalizing abortion made it safer for women is fiction.
"This is not the exception to the rule in our nation's abortion clinics. It is standard operating procedure," he said. "This clinic is no better than a back alley abortion mill, and in fact may be worse."
"Collecting the remains of dead babies over a 30 year time frame is reminiscent of the actions of deranged serial killers who keep body parts as trophies. It doesn't get much sicker than that."
Strangely enough, Matt Archbold of the National Catholic Register reported that authorities said that the conditions were bad, but it was Newman who mentioned that, and he's not an authority. Besides the point. The point is that Matt brought to light another tale of botched abortions, this time in Maryland at a clinic run by Dr. Steven Brigham and Dr. Nicola Riley, whom have since had their licenses revoked.
