My career has been in three phases, research scientist, lawyer, and technology commercialization. My education includes a BS in Chem., a Ph.D, and a J. D. In 1978 I joined Baker & Botts (Baker Botts LLP) in Houston. Since 1995 it has been the Law Office of Martin L. McGregor. My hobby is shining lights in dark places. One reason I studied science in college was that I thought I could read and understand history, literature, and political science as well as the next person, without someone to explain to me what to think about it. But my friends that studied these fields of training could not do science. More than 50 years later I hold much the same view.
