Fr. John Zuhlsdorf ("Father Z") is an American Roman Catholic priest and well-known Catholic apologist and theologian. He is a columnist for the Catholic weekly The Wanderer, was a Fox News contributor, and has appeared on EWTN. He is best known for his award winning blog What Does the Prayer Really Say?, one of the most popular religious blogs in the world. A convert from Lutheranism, he was ordained in 1991 by the late Pope John Paul II. He holds degrees from the University of Minnesota, the Pontifical Lateran University (Rome) and the Patristic Institute "Augustinianum" (Rome).
