UK Travelers: Spend Money On Holiday, Not At The Airport
After spending many years traveling I've worked out a few things about saving money and generally getting the most from any holiday or business trip. Many people know about saving money whilst abroad, a lot of people also get tips on the best and most cost effective places to visit from friends and family.
"Oh, you're going to Lisbon, we know a great restaurant there which is nice and cheap with great food," that type of thing.
However, you can save money before you even leave the UK, so here we go :
Going to Airport by Taxi
If you decide to go by taxi then one most important tip is to ask the people you know. For example, you possibly know a taxi driver or even if you don't I bet you know somebody who want to earn a few extra quid.
If you can't arrange this then you will need to shop around online for an airport taxi service which not only quote reasonable prices but also offer a good service, looking on airport taxi websites for past testimonials is a good idea. A good online service I've been recommended is Airport Taxi Quoter . You will see that the good thing about this site is that it offers all airports and is very easy to use.
Going to airport by Train
Going to the airport by train may sound the most relaxing option but if you've got lots of luggage I wouldn't bother, it can be a real pain lugging all that luggage around and I certainly would not go via train if it involves several connections.
After saying all that there are some real bargains to be had when travelling to an airport by train, especially if you are travelling out of peak days and times, travelling out of peak times also means that the coaches are less full making things a lot less stessful for you expecially if you are travelling with kids.
