NY Electric with Autos
The New York auto show is electric this year — electric with the types of models to be showcased.
So far, the roster looks like this:
- Ford Transit Connect Delivery Van goes on sale in the 4th quarter of this year. It boasts 80 mile range and has a price tage of about $70-80,000.
- Chevy Volt is looking to hit the streets in November. It sports the 40 mile range — before gas generator kicks in. No pricing has been reported on this model yet.
- The Nissan Leaf is expected to hit in December with a 100 mile range and a price tag of $25,000 after tax rebate.
- Ford's other model is the Focus, which is in the 100 mile target range (no costs reported yet).
- Mitsubishi's I-MiEV (eye-meev) is expected to arrive in the Fall of 2011, boasting a 45-75 mile range. No costs reported yet.
- Mercedes Smart electric is looking at a 2012 entry with a 100 mile range and no price tag attached yet.
- Finally, Chrysler's Fiat 500 Electric is another 2012 entry, though no mileage nor cost has been reported yet.
