Green Fleet of Vehicles - Page 2
Least we become complacent and satisfied with the advancement of technology, we need to continually develop even higher percentages of fuel-efficiency in vehicles and be mindful of how many cars we own and how much we drive.
Why? Because the number of drivers increase each year. Think of all the high school students across this nation who will soon want their own set of wheels. It won't do much good if fuel-efficiency increases in a locked step with an even higher increase in the number of cars on the road.
Saving at the pump will only be a reality if we don't drive more because it's cheaper to do so. Saving fuel and money is similar to saving calories while on a diet. We must be wary of not falling into the 100-calorie pack trap; it's only 100 calories if you eat ONE packet. It's sometimes simply too easy to forget it, and end up eating far more than one packet because we get lulled into the mistaken impression that we've been "good" and so deserve a few more.
